MXQ Pro 4K HD Android TV Box: Overview
The MXQ Pro is a 4K HD Android TV box that turns any TV with an HDMI port into a smart TV. It is a small, affordable box that connects to Wi-Fi and lets you stream, browse and play on the big screen.
Features and Benefits
With an Android TV box you can watch streaming apps, online video and music on a TV that has no smart features of its own. 4K support means that, on a 4K screen and with a suitable connection and content, you can enjoy a sharper picture than standard HD. Because it runs Android, you can install more apps from an app store, and it is a far cheaper way to modernise an older TV than buying a new smart TV.
Using and Caring for It
Plug the box into your TV’s HDMI port, connect the power adapter and follow the on-screen set-up to join your Wi-Fi network. Place the box where the remote can reach it and the Wi-Fi signal is strong, keep its vents clear for airflow and use a surge protector. Streaming 4K video needs a fast, stable internet connection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the internet to use it?
Yes, for streaming apps and online video. Without internet you can only play files from a USB drive, if the box supports it.
Will it work with an old TV?
It needs an HDMI input on the TV. Most flat-screen TVs have one, but older tube TVs may not.
Is it really 4K?
It is sold as a 4K HD box. To see 4K you need a 4K TV, a suitable HDMI cable and 4K content with enough internet speed.
