Face Recognition for Attendance and Access
The ZKTeco uFace402 is a multi-biometric terminal that identifies people by face, fingerprint, card or password. A high-performance camera handles facial recognition, and an infra-red optical system helps it identify users in poorly lit areas.
Capacity for Larger Workforces
According to ZKTeco’s datasheet, the terminal supports up to 3,000 face templates, 4,000 fingerprint templates and 10,000 cards, and it stores up to 100,000 attendance records. Capacity differs between hardware versions, so check the specification with the seller.
Security Features
The terminal can tell a real face from a photo, which strengthens verification. One face template is registered per user, and combining face and fingerprint raises accuracy further.
Easy to Use and Manage
A 4.3-inch touch screen and a redesigned interface keep operation simple, with six user-defined function keys. Management is possible through a web server in a browser, and data connects over RS232/485 and TCP/IP, with Wi-Fi or GPRS as options.
Door Control and Power
Built-in interfaces support a third-party electric lock, door sensor, alarm, exit button and bell, with Wiegand output for external controllers. An optional 2,000 mAh battery gives roughly four hours of operation during a power cut. The unit runs on 12 V DC at 1.5 A.
Who It Suits
The uFace402 is a good choice for offices, schools, clinics and factories that want contactless, face-based attendance and door control, especially where fingerprints are hard to read because of dust or work conditions.
